About the table
A white or dark table and the seventy-eight cards of the Thoth deck: lay a card down, slide it where it belongs, fade it into the ones beneath, and keep the figure that appears. The cards are the Thoth Tarot, painted by Lady Frieda Harris to Aleister Crowley's design between 1938 and 1943. The table keeps every card where it was left, and its colour and grid as they were set: this browser remembers it, and nothing is sent anywhere. Saving the table makes an image of the surface and the cards as they lie, at twice the size shown.
On a touch screen a card is slid with one finger and turned or resized with two. With a mouse or a trackpad, Alt with the wheel over a card resizes it and Shift with the wheel turns it. With the keyboard the arrows move the chosen card, the square brackets turn it, minus and plus resize it, Page Up and Page Down change which card lies above which, and Delete takes it off the table. A card dragged out of the tray lands where the finger lets go; a card tapped in the tray lands in the middle. The meter sets how much of the chosen card shows; Multiply and Screen change how its colours mix with the cards beneath. Reset returns a card to its plain state, full size, upright and fully visible, where it lies. The small plus and minus at the table's edge bring the view closer, up to six times, and the figure between them brings the whole table back; a pinch on the trackpad or Ctrl with the wheel does the same about the pointer, a plain scroll moves the view once it is close, and on a touch screen two fingers on the table move it and pinch it. A small pill beside the chosen card carries its opacity, mirror, flip and turn, so a card can be worked up close.
