The nineteen Calls
About the Calls and the order of their use
The Calls, or Keys, are the invocations dictated in the angelic tongue, and the archive prints them from Dee's record as Casaubon published it in 1659. The first eighteen open the Tablet of Union, the four Watchtowers and their lesser angles; the nineteenth, the Call of the Thirty Aethyrs, is one text with the name of the Aethyr changed. Each is set here as the archive's page has it, paragraph by paragraph, the words exactly as printed and in the order printed.
Liber Chanokh gives the order of their use. The First Key governs the Tablet of Union as a whole and is used first in every working of that tablet; the Second, which invokes its line of Spirit, follows in the second place; neither is used with the four Watchtowers. The Third to the Sixth open the four Watchtowers as wholes, each with the angle of the tablet's own element; the remaining twelve open the other angles, in the order Air, Water, Earth, Fire. What each Key opens by that rule is set under it, in Chanokh's words.
The Calls are drawn here once the data has loaded.

The text of the Calls: The Calls of Enoch, Dee's record as printed by Casaubon (1659), in the archive. The spoken form: Liber Chanokh (The Equinox I:7–8, 1912), whose pointed spelling of each Key is copied verbatim; The print's own sounding: the tables of April, May and July 1584 in A True & Faithful Relation, collated word by word under Specifics. The Enochian letters: the alphabet on the Great Table page, drawn by the letter table with the aliases stated beside each Call. The rule of the Keys and what each opens: Liber Chanokh. The Golden Dawn and Thelema perform the Calls in their own ways; the Enochian reference sets the traditions side by side.
